My grandfather passed away a week ago, I painted this as a memorial, in a bit of a rush and with a deadline of taking it to the funeral - which was a nice touch as he was a sign writer by trade and a great landscape painter on the side. Was interesting painting a subject close to me that was a big part of my life growing up, hard at times, but lots of good memories.
I took the photo reference last August so it's a 100% original which is always a nice feeling.
